I had a serpentine belt replaced and service completed on the car's air conditioner. Contact and communications were great throughout the process. Video clip footage of the repairs and the related updates was also great.

Darin was my service guy again. My biggest impression about him was that, although he has seen probably thousands of people in the last six months since my last visit, he remembered me and made me feel valued. He is very pleasant and helpful. He treated me as an intelligent person, not an old lady who knows nothing. I spent my life working in the trades in a time women didn't do such things, Construction, steel mill, job shops. I even worked on my own cars in the 70's. He talked with me, not to me. Too many times in our world today, the focus is on self and not others. Darin reminded me that kind, caring people still exist. And the best part, he is genuine. It's not a façade. That is rare. I want to thank him for treating me with respect. He's a keeper!

My first service at Vandevere. The guys that worked in service were so nice and so patient. Everything was explained. No unexpected charges... you have no idea what a plus that is. I've had horrible experiences with Dealer Service in the past (not Vandevere) and was kind of dreading this. I got a whole other experience that made me feel so much better!

My experience from the start of scheduling appointment on phone was horrible because no one could answer my question and I was transferred to 4 different people with ending up with a voicemail for manager and no response. Then 8 hour wait time for them to change oil and look at rearview camera thats is still not fixed after they said it was fixed. Overall a horrible experience.

I was quoted $205 when I made the appointment but when I arrived at the appointment I was told it would be closer to $1100! After talking with Darin we made some adjustments and the maintenance was performed.

I left them know I was upset with them about the wait but I kept thinking my truck was out there I finally got up and looked and it was my truck. No one came to tell me it was done. It was my truck so I went out the to tell whoever. They told me it was on them today which I told the man I would pay for it I was trying to get something for nothing he gave me paper work and once again told me they covered it for me and was very sorry. I told them their going to loose business their were others in the waiting area complaining how long they had been there.maybe they need someone to come tell people as soon as the vehicle is done. They could have everyone's name and know what vehicle belongs to them. I did ask about the warranty if I went elsewhere for my oil changes. Maybe it was a bad day for the service dept.

Ryan did an excellent job and I will be going back to him for future purchases!! He made the process easy and was not even close to your typical car salesman. I’m very happy with my Traverse and the overall experience.

This was the last time I come to get service done. I keep coming back thinking it will get better and it just doesn't. I came in with two issues to be looked at; the transmission and brake squealing. I was sold the 100,000 mile service package and transmission diagnostics. A part of the service package was an alignment. Last time I got an alignment done here, I had to take it somewhere else to fix it. I asked for a reduced rate on the cost since that service wasn't done and was told 'no'. So, $1,700 later, transmission is working and brakes are still squealing after having my truck for 8 hours. I was given a ride home but then had to pay an Uber to get back and now I have to get my brakes checked somewhere else. My truck always needs to be serviced somewhere else after your team works on it.

Came in for oil change was told 2 recalls needed done that would take half hour each 3 hours later still not done. I was waiting had I been told the correct time I would not have waited half my day there

Two employees was wearing heavy perfume/ cologne. I am very sensitive to strong perfume or cologne. When I am around someone who stinks of heavy cologne or perfume I will get a migraine a1and it can also trigger my asthma. The one male was bald around 30ish. The other was female long hair

After several failed attempts to re lease a vehicle from VanDevere Kia, I went to VanDevere Chevrolet and within an hour we made a deal that worked for me. I am in love with my 2026 Equinox !!

Truck scheduled for service at 7:30. Did not get looked at until 12. Service rep stopped communicating so I drove to the dealership at 3:45 to find that the scheduled services were still not done. Brought up looking into an oil cooler line leak that should be covered under warranty. Tech confirmed the leak and paperwork submitted to warranty forever. Now a week later I am still waiting for approval from warranty forever. No communication from dealership unless I reach out.

I had a tire that was losing air and Van Devere got me in immediately. I had an appointment scheduled in 2 weeks for an oil change, so they offered to do it while I was there and save me a trip. I much appreciate the service at Van Devere. Darin Ellinger was very helpful!

Although it took almost 4 weeks from start to finish which was frustrating, Logan kept me posted every step of the way. Overall it was a great experience.

I called the dealership and made an appointment for the 15th for service at 9:30. I arrive, and the service agent said for the service I had schedule was not to be done on Mondays. But he would try to get me in. He had a driver take me home. At around 12:30 I had not heard from him, but a text message came to me and said they will try to get to me by the end of the day. Because of the lack of truth, I will never buy another car there. To date have bought 6 cars, but no more.

Nice environment quick service

I was not satisfied with the customer service I received this time around. I have been a loyal customer to Vandevere and have never had a bad experience even when the service was something costly. Mike, that was handling my service was very avoidant did not communicate throughout the process until I voiced my concern to Bradley. I didn't hear from him the whole first day they had my car, not even to say hey we won't get to your car today etc until I reached out to him. I found myself having to keep calling him whereas other technicians keep you updated by text if they cant call. I called so much o knew the Alexis' rep name before she spoke. There was one moment when they connected me to another tech and they reported that Mike was at his desk, wasnt with a customer and wasnt on phone, and he literally had to go down to have him get on the phone. I asked him about any coupons etc because in the past when something costly, the techs try to find you specials if any. At first he said he had none, then when I asked for the estimate so I coukd shop around a bit he seemed to catch an attitude saying I cant just have anyone fix it to which I replied I wasnt going to take it to just anyone I was going to look at other shops. Then magically he found a multiplier coupon. I didnt appreciate that. I also inquired about a loaner. I was told there were 18 then 15 people ahead of me. He never communicated how long the car would take to fix and i have no understanding why there is only 1 loaner car. That doesn't really make sense but mute point now. I did call and leave a message for Nick. I was transferred to him when I voiced that i had concerns. I never did receive a return phone call. Then when I came to pick up my car on Thursday, the lady that checked me out says that I will be receiving a survey and I told her then that I was not satisfied with my service. She wanted to know why but I had already shared my concerns with another agent. She reported thatvshe would mention it to Nick as he had been in and out of meetings. Again, never received a call back. I just have never felt like this at Vandevere Chevy or Kia location. I could say more but i really just hope someone speaks with Mike and lets him know the importance of good customer service which includes communication.

It all went just fine it was a long day. My salesman I had I will use again if I buy another vehicle at the dealership. Everyone I delt with was a-OK.

They did do everything I requested but it took over 3 hours to get an oil change and alignment and tire balance... im always there over two hours even for an oil change

Communication was horrible about me having to pay 230.00 for them to tell me I needed to update my phone for my microphone to work in my car. I updated it and it still doesn't work.

Honestly the best experience! The process was so efficient and the staff are amazing!! Madi knew every answer to every question I had, and I had a lot! She was delightful! Dee was so patient and kind and she just kept on working the finance end of things until I had a big smile on my face! VanDevere has been very good in proper service communication in the past, but messed up this time. 2015 Tahoe brought in on a Thursday. This vehicle is the primary personal and business operational vehicle. Primary Issue being the seat beat assembly on driver's side floor had come off therefore making the car unsafe to drive. Other Maintenace was also schedule. After analysis by technicians, it was determined the "Seat Belt Tensioner" needed to be replaced. 4 days for the part to come in...1 hour of labor ...and I should be good to pick up. I authorized to proceed with ordering parts and service accordingly. I visited the dealership on Tuesday, as I needed a few items out of the vehicle for personal needs. My service representation, James Phillips (roughly 3 months on the job), confirmed the part would be in and the car ready on Thursday. Now comes Thursday. I sent a text message and left a message through another Service Representative to call me with status. No call back. 5:30pm, I show up at dealership expecting the vehicle to be ready...as I had several deliveries scheduled for which this would pull a flatbed trailer with product and need this vehicle. Vehicle was not ready. Dealer did not know where the part was or when it would arrive? Evidently GM only notifies that a part has shipped...but...no tracking number....seems hard to believe!!?? I ask to talk with a manager. To which Anthong shows up. He says these types of repairs are typically 7 to 10 days (not the 4 as stated several times by my Service Representative). Short story, part arrives on following Tuesday (13 days depending on how you count) and repair was completed and all is working properly. The Service representative was fairly new to the job ...so...the information he was providing to me came from someone else? No one explained to me the Tensioner controls a lot of the airbag and other electronic safety activities of the vehicle. .....I would have better understood the scope of the problem. 13 days to repair a seat belt seems to be extraordinarily long period....just saying! Due to my business commitments, I had to personally scramble to find a vehicle to tow a flat bed trailer to meet my business commitments. Appointment scheduled was to have a rental to drive. Non available. Had a o wait for the driver. He was very nice however waiting on him instead of the rental made me late for work. Was to have the engine checked and oil change and they only update to computer updates I believe and didn’t do the oil change. The person we worked with told both me and my husband it had been done. When I picked up truck I noticed the old oil change sticker was still there and oil was only at 50%. Husband called lady got defensive and said it wasn’t hurt fault even though nowhere on the invoice did it day oil change Spoke w manager they had o come pick up truck and return two days later because I couldn’t be late for work again. Very dissatisfied with vandeveer and when the time comes to trade in t pick it will not be with vandeveer as the service has gone down Would not recommend vandeveer to anyone if asked would tell them to go someplace else.

Had to bring my vehicle back 2 times for the same issue and I believe it is still not fixed . I was told different things about what was being done and when it should be finished from 2 different people. No one there has very good communication. I was totally not happy with my service at all.

Service manager and general manager was awful brought my car in for a mileage service check and my car came back with even more issue then what it have when I brought it in with. I have been coming there for years and the last few times I am disappointed. I can change the oil in my truck and rotate the tires in 30 minutes TOPS. I come there and they tell me an hour. Then it takes 2 and half hours. This has been the last 3 services. Plenty more but I am not going to sit here and type it all out for it to fall on deaf ears.

One of the worst experiences I've ever had there took my car in for lights that was on got my car back after they dropped it off it was vibrating I took it back then they say it's my clutch and motor mount which they could have caught the first time they said something was wrong with my vehicle but they didn't now they're charging me for inspecting it again when it wasn't messed up My car was not vibrating when I dropped it off and when they dropped it off it was vibrating and barely going now they have to see if warranty will cover the motor mounts Said it's going to be $4,500 there was nothing wrong with my car other than my ABS light which they fix the hub and dropped it off to me and now all of a sudden my motor mounts and my clutch is supposed to be messed up and it was driving perfectly fine I'm highly irritated because I know for a fact nothing was wrong with my car as far as my clutch and my motor mount

This is the best place for me to get my car service. I've been dealing with Vandeveer for over four years and I never been disappointed. They always listen to my niece always very caring and always very nice.

I came in for a Lube, Oil and Filter Change along with my Tire Rotation, and the Advisor Logan, pointed out that I was due for some Brake and Caliper Inspection, so I said, go ahead and take care of that as well since Winter is around the corner.

I think the prices on the required maintenance service in conjunction with the lifetime warranty is astronomically unfair and quite literally a rip off there is no reason any person should be charge $200+/hr for labor and no excuse for an oil change, wheel alignment and lubed calibers should take 3 hours

Came in for my 2nd oil change in my brand new 11,000 2024 traverse and they found an oil leak. Than as my mom and I were leaving the dealership to drive over an hour home the gentleman who did my tire rotation didn’t tighten my lug nuts on my drive side front tire and it almost fell off getting on the interstate. My mom and I were scared to death. Two semis were behind us and almost rear ended us because I had to slam on my breaks because my car started clunking and tire was wobbling. It was horrible! It took us forever to get back to the dealership because we had to drive extremely slow. We are so thankful my 2 and 4 year old children weren’t with us. My husband was extremely upset and is now worried about my rim and tire.

Routine maintenance was completed in timely manner

I had 100k mile warranty work done on 11/13/25. The warranty required transfer case and differential fluid changes. I HAD NO TRANSMISSION ISSUES WHEN I DROPPED MY TRUCK OFF THAT MORNING. I drove my truck on Friday morning and experienced shuddering and whining in my transmission. I called dealership and they had me bring it in on Saturday 11/15/25. I was sent a video informing me that my torque converter failed, my transmission fluid was burnt and metal shavings had been pushed through my transmission, and I would need a new transmission. I am still waiting to hear from dealership for approval for replacement. The dealership has treated this as if there is no correlation between the two dates. One service tech told me it was absolutely incidental that I had drivetrain work and the next day my transmission failed. He used the example of his furnace needing repaired 2 weeks ago. He then told me that another component went out on his furnace the following week. Alex Thompson gave me the same explanation. I have asked for a loaner. I was told it would be $44 per day, if they could find one. On Saturday morning a service rep told me I could maybe get a rental at employee cost, which is $30 per day.Alex Thompson told me that I would never be satisfied, no matter what the dealership did for me. I am going to contact the Ohio Attorney General R. Yost to file a formal complaint, as the more I have talked about the issues I am having, others have added their own horror stories of vehicle mishaps requiring major repairs following routine work. The warranty for life is a giant scheme. I have had the most ridiculous repair recomendations when I have had oil changes completed. Beware. I will have my oil changes and tire rotations completed with the dealership per Warranty requirements. All other work and requirements I will have completed at an ASE certified shop. I only need to call the Warranty company and get a number for the work I am having done. My shop will add that number to my receipt and I will add those documents to my work and warranty paperwork which I maintain. Losing another good customer.

Logan Tolson was the service advisor and he was very pleasant, kept me informed on the status of my car. Unfortunately, there were no loaners available and my car was there two and a half days. Then, two days later, after an oil pan and timing gasket repair, there was a major oil leakage. Had to have the car towed to dealership. Another two and a half days in for repairs and no loaner! Now there is a clunking noise when I let off the brake and accelerate.

For the most part everything was good. The only complaint I do have is I never received a video.

Brad listened and explained what they would do to resolve my issues.

I arrived on time for my appointment and was told they may have a diagnosis in 2 hours. Then they wanted to keep my car as they could not get the check engine light to come back on, but they did see the code in the history. When the light first came on, I took it to an auto parts store to get the code. The guy read it and told me what the fix would be. The dealership did exactly what the auto parts guy said. Why did it take the dealership 2 days to figure it out? Was it because I had the warranty and wasn't a paying customer? Did they not have enough mechanics to do all the work? Why wasn't the work completed the next morning? I didn't receive a notice that my car was done until mid-afternoon. Also they didn't have any loaner cars so I had to go to Enterprise. That was not pleasant since the first two locations didn't have a car that fit the requirements of the warranty.

I've had a postitive experience every time I've brought my corvette in for maintenance. Took forever to diagnose problem. Then had to wait on ordered parts. Was never told they came in. Had to call myself. Made an appointment to get the issue fixed and after taking a 2nd day off work to get fixed was told the problem was too extensive for the time they jad left in the day. No rental cars available so had to deive back home mind you I leave probably an hour and 10 minutes away. Asked if I could just get fixed closer to home and so I called the closest dealership to home and was told they wouldn't touch it since VanDevere had. Ended up having to go to yet another city to find someone to look at the car.

My service advisor, Jimmy, was extremely helpful and gregarious. :) On another note, I really don't think cars should be moved in and out of the showroom where people wait for their vehicles to get done. The fumes were very noxious and not healthy at all. They moved four Corvettes around for the time I was waiting for my car to be serviced.

My experience was excellent during my last two visits at VanDevere Chevrolet. My service advisor Brad Harris was awsome, and took very good care of me! He answered all of my questions, and returned all my phone calls! He also went out of his way to make sure my car got picked up from my work when I couldn't bring it in for repair due to being at work. He was very professional and very honest! My car feels like brand new after the repair! I am glad he was my service advisor! Thank You very much Brad! I was truly happy with the service!! I got no complaints!

Your service advisor, Keagan Marzano greeted me and expertly handled the write up of the service order; he asked if I would be waiting or if I needed shuttle service. I replied that I had a ride waiting for me. Latter he text me and explained about the caliper service that was found necessary during the multi-point inspection and which agreed to have done. My only complaint is the 3%credit card surcharge I got even though I was using a GM/Baclay's Mastercard. I believe GM/Barclay's should cover that cost for VanDevere and their customers.

Keagan was really helpful with bringing my concerns about my car to the attention of the technician and making sure I was clear on what needed to be done (diagnosis and cost). He also helped with setting me up with an oil change package so I can keep up on my car’s maintenance. Van Devere has been nothing short of good to me and my husband for years, even when I was frustrated I felt like I was listened to.

Logan Tolson at VanDevere was very helpful and did a great job dealing with a difficult vehicle that has had a lot of issues. Thankyou to Logan Tolson at VanDevere. My issues are that I bought a new 2023 Colorado, and it has been back in to the service department a total of 20 times between December 2023 and Dec 2025, and I am still waiting to take it back for number 21 due to an issue with the check engine light-related to battery voltage and ABS brakes. I do have all of my receipts/records, and copies as well. Maybe GM/Chevrolet could release the names of their engineers and manufacturers so we can so who is responsible for such poor quality and workmanship. Does GM/Chevrolet management actually own and drive these vehicles? If they did-they would encounter the same issues. Even the local dealer service department has claimed that the build/fit and finish of the vehicle is what has caused many of the issues. So many of these issues require a call from the dealer to GM-to get directions on how to proceed, and this is more time that a vehicle sits waiting to be repaired. The issue is GM/Chevrolet, and not the dealer. I am hard pressed to believe that I will ever buy another GM product, as I feel I have. $45,000.00 piece of junk that I don’t have enough confidence in-to allow my wife or family drive it. If this is the type of quality product that Chevrolet expects people purchase, Chevrolet will go the way that Pontiac and Oldsmobile went. Maybe this letter, and a copy of all of the service records reflecting all issues should go public?

I went in to have a battery replaced. When Mike was walking me to the cashier he told me that the Power Steering light was coming up on the display. When I brought it in I told them about the display popping up because I need new tire sensors. When I went to leave the power steering wasn't working. It had been working when I brought it in. I have been coming to VanDevere since 2017. Never again. It took 2 days at a different mechanic and money I didn't have just to find out the battery was installed incorrectly.

I'm 60+ years old and have never owned a Chevy. Until now. My wife and I acquired our Chevy Bolt EUV via Carvana recently. Felt "exposed", not having a service/dealer relationship. We popped into VanDevere Akron to "check it/them out". "Maybe they'd be an option", my wife and I said to each other. This is when special things began to happen. We met Keagan, one of the team members there when we popped in. We had no service to do. No money to spend. Not buying a car. Obviously this didn't matter to the VanDevere team. Keagan was gracious and respectful. Leadership books littered his workstation. He answered questions about what PM service(s) we may need in the future... and was beyond professional (and funny too... with a well-timed wit!). This set a great tone and sense of confidence. -- -- As it turns, a week later, we did need help. I had no idea that aftermarket metal valve caps will "weld" to the brass stems on our wheels/tires in cold/salty climates. The local tire place told me a horrific story. "Get ready to spend big money. I may have to replace the valves... We may damage the sensors. We may not be able replace those or program them... Sorry dude." Fortunately, said tire-place-guy said, "You might want to go to a Dealer..." Glad we did and that it was VanDevere. Cutting to the chase: Keagan took care of us like royalty valve-fix-day. Fit us in. His team took care of everything—easy peasy. In fact, a technician literally "waited in line" until I was available to answer his question, "Sir, is it okay for me to close your hatchback lid before we take it to the bay?". He wouldn't make that decision or touch my car without inquiring with me first. This was a *huge* subtle indicator of culture and practice. Keagan gave me a tour of the waiting area/showroom. Coffee. Wifi. ++. After things were fixed, he sent me on my way with a smile...N/C. Guess where we'll be taking our Chevy Bolt EUV!? ;) PS: I'm an organizational strategist/consultant. There were all kinds of things (experiences and symbols) at VanDevere representing culture, care and customer... including a huge banner that spoke to the organization’s mission and values. This has me/us paying attention (in a good way) and has quickly converted us to being a new customer 👍.

The service representative Olivia did a great job of explaining everything. She is very professional and personable. My bill came in just under estimate and the wait time was not unreasonable for the amount of work done and how busy the shop was that morning.

The oil leak was found to not to be under warranty for a ridiculous reason. Mileage is under 51k but the leak still won’t be covered. Have to find another place to do the repair as the price quote was just too high. Also the tires were rotated and then the PSI is different on each tire which shows they did not check the pressure at all. This same issue happened a prev time work was performed on the tires the car was returned with diff PSI on each tire.

My service guy Darren is always on top of it he always makes sure the job is done correctly, and the manager Anthony Walker I've been dealing with for years even before he became manager and he says always been the guy to go to and will definitely set you straight they make you feel good about spending your money lol 💪🏾💪🏾

Was my first time at this dealership. Keagan was very helpful and since my first time,he showed me around. Where customers could wait, restrooms and other amenities. They took very good care of my car. Originally went just for oil change and tire rotation but turns out I also needed back brakes. They did the work in a very timely manner. I was lied too By a supervisor stating they had submitted a claim on my vehicle and that both claims were denied. When I called the Warranty center to check, they said no claim had been submitted and they were waiting on photos and documentation from Vanderveer to give an answer on my claim. I will never purchase a vehicle from Vanderveer again.
