My 2019 Chevy Equinox had turned 70,000 Miles. I chose the following services to be performed: LOF, 4-wheel disc brake replacement, 4-wheel alignment, cabin filter and air filter replacement. This is a situation where the Service Advisor made all the difference in my awarding VanDevere the business. Service Advisor Hunter VanCamp did an outstanding job working with me on applying the service coupons from the VanDevere website to this project. Further, he stated the work could commence the next day; I left the Equinox with him after he entered the order for service. The work was completed the next day by 3:00. Further, the vehicle had been washed. I've used this dealer before for a couple of oil changes but no other services. In this situation, I had great confidence that Hunter V. would manage this service order appropriately. From the start he informed me that I should receive a video from the Service Technician that detailed the work performed from the perspective of the under-carriage; this was very much appreciated. Hunter V. kept me informed by text message when appropriate. Overall, this was an extremely positive experience. I will not hesitate to recommend Hunter VanCamp and Vandever Chevy to friends and family

Horrible experience, I came in for an engine diagnosis and had a few ideas but technicians did not do a thorough or basic diagnosis. They only did what I had an idea of but charged me full priced, and missed gas in my oil, beiloken wires for fuel injectors and so much more. I ask before they pull my car out to check a few more things and they said they'd have to charge me again. After I had to agree to find out what was wrong they never finished diagnosis and told me to come get my car. I will never use nor recommend this dealership to anyone.

I took my truck in for an oil change. Only an oil change. I was there on time. They took it back to the shop right away. It took them TWO hours to change the oil. Unfortunately I’m pretty much locked in to getting my service done at the dealership because of my warranty. According to the service rep getting the work done somewhere else would require a lot of administrative work. I will look for another dealership or another vehicle brand for my next truck or car. This is ridiculous.

Experience was great overall. I mentioned that when Braking and then holding down the brake there is a noise. The noise is not a grinding or pad rubbing. Since sitting at a stop light or sign it makes a noise, assume it has to be electrical. The rep I had mentioned maybe things needed greased. No solution to the issue was mentioned upon me checking out. I am hoping if I have to return with a bigger problem it's handled better. One of the reasons I chose VanDevere, was for the Forever Warranty.

They are always nice. Great customer service. Only issue I had was when I bought the car I was told 4 free oil changes. The guy told me I'd used them all up however this was only my 3rd one. So he looked in the system and said the GM one expired because I didnt use it within the first year. Now mind you, I'd had the car there twice within the year for an oil change yet no one applied the GM free oil change to those times the car was there so it expired and I've been screwed out of my last free oil change. The guy was nice about it but didnt offer to make it right or anything since someone was careless when documenting these free services. I left frustrated and annoyed. Why wouldn't they have applied that knowing it would expire within a year? And when I had the car there twice during that time frame. Come on....do better for your customers. I've bought 3 vehicles from here. Its not like I'm just out for the free service.

Very upset.. I was quoted 79.95 for my oil change. Hunter said he had a coupon so it would be 79.95 out the door. when I went to pick up my car they said my bill was 91.02... I questioned it and they told me tax and disposal fee was added. I was told 79.95 out the door. I could have gone to take five and got a 25% off veterans discount and it would have been a lot cheaper, but I brought it to you so you had record of it for my warranty.. Makes me wonder if the warranty is really good.

Decided to not have O2 sensors changed and we were told they already started to change them. In the process of changing them they stripped the threads and we were basically forced to have them changed. Then we bought 4 new tires, on the way home the car was shaking. We had to bring the car back to the dealership to have it rebalanced. Because it was a holiday weekend we were without our car for 3 more days. We did receive a free oil change for next time, but that hardly makes up for the issues we had.

Overall the purchase process was great. Two areas of concern: the car was delivered to us with the tires grossly overinflated. I know why they were overinflated, but the dealer should have insured the air pressure was at an acceptable level. Also, the dealer's name on the rear window, and the adhesive used, were a pain in the ___ to remove. Shouldn't have been put on in the first place.

Made an emergency appointment due to a dying starter. I arrived Monday and Rick Bivens greeted me and arranged for a loaner car. The technician sent a video explaining that the starter was in fact dying plus he discovered an oil pan leak and a bad tie rod. Rick kept me informed and notified me that the work plus the cost of the loaner car would all be covered under warranty except for a $50 deductible. All went well EXCEPT the service man mentioned the transmission was not flushed at 75,000 miles. Hmmm... well we bought the vehicle at 74395 miles which is 605 miles away from the intended service. This transmission flush should have been done prior to us leaving with the 2019 Yukon. We were told to be back for the 100,000 mile transfer case service. We have been there 3 times prior to this last oil change and never offered the transmission flush that evidently may not have happen before our purchase. Now our warranty is in danger.

But the dealership never reported that they broke a part doing full injection system clean till I reached out to see why car wasn’t done almost 6 hours after drop off time. Was in for oil change and added extra service at time of drop off. Fact we didn’t know case us to wait in waiting room for 2 hours because ride we had needed to leave. So you could say was disappointed in how this issue was handled and lack of communication

My Tahoe is not even 2 years old and I spent close to 500 dollars to fix the air conditioner. I had made up my mind not to come back to the dealer after my last experience waiting 4 hours for an oil change. My husband bought the extended warranty so the service would be covered going to the dealer or so we thought. Nope. Not covered. I waited 2 hours for them to figure out it was not covered and to tell me the total. Fortunately I had been saving all my points so I paid the 500 dollars using those but was still just so upset. I should not have had to use those points because I air conditioning should have broken in the first place!!!

I was needing an oil change and a rattle noise investigated. It was found to be an exhaust flex pipe. When called to discuss the flex pipe I gave the approval for and was given a price however that did not include the oil change as well. I fear the oil was not changed as charged. My reminder sticker was not replaced with new info. The pipe was over 800$ and the tires were supposed to be rotated. Not sure that got done and the tire pressure is off on all the tires so not sure why that was not checked at rotation. I fear the work I asked for was not completed as charged. Second time I have had issue with work done here.

I had an appointment 11:00 AM. I got there 15 minutes early. The person who took care of me was new. But this was not a problem for me. i was told it will take an hour max. I asked also to rotate the tires and have the air checked as it was very uneven. After 2 hours waiting I finally went in to the service department and required about my car, because nobody bothered to come and talk to me. I was totally ignored for 2 hours. In the mean time in the waiting room one of the woman employee were started singing very loud as if she would be in her own house. She just stopped and started again several times. It was horrible. I went in to the service department after 2 hours waiting, and I saw my car was still up on the air. After an other 30 minutes waiting, finally I was told my car is ready. I left, and I realized the oil gauge still shows 32% and nothing was done to the tires. I went back and an other 20 minutes they fixed it. I was told the mechanic didn't know how to reset the meters. At this point I was very upset and didn't believe it was anything done to my car. I asked that the VanDevere slogan be taken off from the back window because after this experience I was very disappointed. Nobody started taking it off for a while so I started pealing it down from the window. The shop manager came with a razor blade to take it off. Of course the glue stayed on the window. I asked him if they have Go gone or something else to take the glue off. He told me, VanDevere DOESN'T have it. At this point I was getting so upset I just left. I bought and leased my cars since 2009 from your company, because I trusted the Christian values, and also as a single woman I was always taken care of with respect. BUT NOT THIS TIME. I totally lost my trust trust, in the service department at Vernom Odom location.

We have purchased from here in the past and love the warranty. This time we are less then impressed. I scheduled a time to look at a car I was interested in drove all the way there to be told the car was unavailable. We live 45 min away. Car #2 we scheduled an appointment to look at another car explained the previous situation and we were told they would have someone pull the keys. Half way there we were told that car was also unavailable. Car #3 called explained the two previous situations and was assured it would not happen again. I get 5 min and get a call from the salesman Josh they do not have the 3rd vehicle. He said he will see what he can do. He ended up be amazing and finding the car at their recon lot. I couldn't say more good things about Josh. The car was not ready to sell and was placed on their website prematurely therefore had not been detailed. The rotors on the vehicle had a deep groove on both rear rotors. When agreeing to purchase the car that and the detail were noted on the we owe paperwork. I called the next day to have both services completed the following week. I picked up the car last night to find the rotors in the same shape with a glob of purple grease on the calipers. Opened the car to check out the detail the back seats were not touched I opened the third row seats to find a pair of the previous owners dirty socks and straw wrappers in the door cubbies. I walked the socks into their service department and explained I had found them in the seats. They were very apologetic and closing up for the night. I was told they would call me today and find a resolution. Never received a call. The only reason I would have any stars is because Josh is the G.O.A.T.

My biggest impression about him was that, although he has seen probably thousands of people in the last six months since my last visit, he remembered me and made me feel valued. I left them know I was upset with them about the wait but I kept thinking my truck was out there I finally got up and looked and it was my truck. No one came to tell me it was done. It was my truck so I went out the to tell whoever. They told me it was on them today which I told the man I would pay for it I was trying to get something for nothing he gave me paper work and once again told me they covered it for me and was very sorry. I told them their going to loose business their were others in the waiting area complaining how long they had been there.maybe they need someone to come tell people as soon as the vehicle is done. They could have everyone's name and know what vehicle belongs to them. I did ask about the warranty if I went elsewhere for my oil changes. Maybe it was a bad day for the service dept.

This was the last time I come to get service done. I keep coming back thinking it will get better and it just doesn't. I came in with two issues to be looked at; the transmission and brake squealing. I was sold the 100,000 mile service package and transmission diagnostics. A part of the service package was an alignment. Last time I got an alignment done here, I had to take it somewhere else to fix it. I asked for a reduced rate on the cost since that service wasn't done and was told 'no'. So, $1,700 later, transmission is working and brakes are still squealing after having my truck for 8 hours. I was given a ride home but then had to pay an Uber to get back and now I have to get my brakes checked somewhere else. My truck always needs to be serviced somewhere else after your team works on it.

I was not satisfied with the customer service I received this time around. I have been a loyal customer to Vandevere and have never had a bad experience even when the service was something costly. Mike, that was handling my service was very avoidant did not communicate throughout the process until I voiced my concern to Bradley. I didn't hear from him the whole first day they had my car, not even to say hey we won't get to your car today etc until I reached out to him. I found myself having to keep calling him whereas other technicians keep you updated by text if they cant call. I called so much o knew the Alexis' rep name before she spoke. There was one moment when they connected me to another tech and they reported that Mike was at his desk, wasnt with a customer and wasnt on phone, and he literally had to go down to have him get on the phone. I asked him about any coupons etc because in the past when something costly, the techs try to find you specials if any. At first he said he had none, then when I asked for the estimate so I coukd shop around a bit he seemed to catch an attitude saying I cant just have anyone fix it to which I replied I wasnt going to take it to just anyone I was going to look at other shops. Then magically he found a multiplier coupon. I didnt appreciate that. I also inquired about a loaner. I was told there were 18 then 15 people ahead of me. He never communicated how long the car would take to fix and i have no understanding why there is only 1 loaner car. That doesn't really make sense but mute point now. I did call and leave a message for Nick. I was transferred to him when I voiced that i had concerns. I never did receive a return phone call. Then when I came to pick up my car on Thursday, the lady that checked me out says that I will be receiving a survey and I told her then that I was not satisfied with my service. She wanted to know why but I had already shared my concerns with another agent. She reported thatvshe would mention it to Nick as he had been in and out of meetings. Again, never received a call back. I just have never felt like this at Vandevere Chevy or Kia location. I could say more but i really just hope someone speaks with Mike and lets him know the importance of good customer service which includes communication.

VanDevere has been very good in proper service communication in the past, but messed up this time. 2015 Tahoe brought in on a Thursday. This vehicle is the primary personal and business operational vehicle. Primary Issue being the seat beat assembly on driver's side floor had come off therefore making the car unsafe to drive. Other Maintenace was also schedule. After analysis by technicians, it was determined the "Seat Belt Tensioner" needed to be replaced. 4 days for the part to come in...1 hour of labor ...and I should be good to pick up. I authorized to proceed with ordering parts and service accordingly. I visited the dealership on Tuesday, as I needed a few items out of the vehicle for personal needs. My service representation, James Phillips (roughly 3 months on the job), confirmed the part would be in and the car ready on Thursday. Now comes Thursday. I sent a text message and left a message through another Service Representative to call me with status. No call back. 5:30pm, I show up at dealership expecting the vehicle to be ready...as I had several deliveries scheduled for which this would pull a flatbed trailer with product and need this vehicle. Vehicle was not ready. Dealer did not know where the part was or when it would arrive? Evidently GM only notifies that a part has shipped...but...no tracking number....seems hard to believe!!?? I ask to talk with a manager. To which Anthong shows up. He says these types of repairs are typically 7 to 10 days (not the 4 as stated several times by my Service Representative). Short story, part arrives on following Tuesday (13 days depending on how you count) and repair was completed and all is working properly. The Service representative was fairly new to the job ...so...the information he was providing to me came from someone else? No one explained to me the Tensioner controls a lot of the airbag and other electronic safety activities of the vehicle. .....I would have better understood the scope of the problem. 13 days to repair a seat belt seems to be extraordinarily long period....just saying! Due to my business commitments, I had to personally scramble to find a vehicle to tow a flat bed trailer to meet my business commitments. One of the worst experiences I've ever had there took my car in for lights that was on got my car back after they dropped it off it was vibrating I took it back then they say it's my clutch and motor mount which they could have caught the first time they said something was wrong with my vehicle but they didn't now they're charging me for inspecting it again when it wasn't messed up My car was not vibrating when I dropped it off and when they dropped it off it was vibrating and barely going now they have to see if warranty will cover the motor mounts Said it's going to be $4,500 there was nothing wrong with my car other than my ABS light which they fix the hub and dropped it off to me and now all of a sudden my motor mounts and my clutch is supposed to be messed up and it was driving perfectly fine I'm highly irritated because I know for a fact nothing was wrong with my car as far as my clutch and my motor mount

Appointment scheduled was to have a rental to drive. Non available. Had a o wait for the driver. He was very nice however waiting on him instead of the rental made me late for work. Was to have the engine checked and oil change and they only update to computer updates I believe and didn’t do the oil change. The person we worked with told both me and my husband it had been done. When I picked up truck I noticed the old oil change sticker was still there and oil was only at 50%. Husband called lady got defensive and said it wasn’t hurt fault even though nowhere on the invoice did it day oil change Spoke w manager they had o come pick up truck and return two days later because I couldn’t be late for work again. Very dissatisfied with vandeveer and when the time comes to trade in t pick it will not be with vandeveer as the service has gone down Would not recommend vandeveer to anyone if asked would tell them to go someplace else.

I have been coming there for years and the last few times I am disappointed. I can change the oil in my truck and rotate the tires in 30 minutes TOPS. I come there and they tell me an hour. Came in for my 2nd oil change in my brand new 11,000 2024 traverse and they found an oil leak. Than as my mom and I were leaving the dealership to drive over an hour home the gentleman who did my tire rotation didn’t tighten my lug nuts on my drive side front tire and it almost fell off getting on the interstate. My mom and I were scared to death. Two semis were behind us and almost rear ended us because I had to slam on my breaks because my car started clunking and tire was wobbling. It was horrible! It took us forever to get back to the dealership because we had to drive extremely slow. We are so thankful my 2 and 4 year old children weren’t with us. My husband was extremely upset and is now worried about my rim and tire.

I had 100k mile warranty work done on 11/13/25. The warranty required transfer case and differential fluid changes. I HAD NO TRANSMISSION ISSUES WHEN I DROPPED MY TRUCK OFF THAT MORNING. I drove my truck on Friday morning and experienced shuddering and whining in my transmission. I called dealership and they had me bring it in on Saturday 11/15/25. I was sent a video informing me that my torque converter failed, my transmission fluid was burnt and metal shavings had been pushed through my transmission, and I would need a new transmission. I am still waiting to hear from dealership for approval for replacement. The dealership has treated this as if there is no correlation between the two dates. One service tech told me it was absolutely incidental that I had drivetrain work and the next day my transmission failed. He used the example of his furnace needing repaired 2 weeks ago. He then told me that another component went out on his furnace the following week. Alex Thompson gave me the same explanation. I have asked for a loaner. I was told it would be $44 per day, if they could find one. On Saturday morning a service rep told me I could maybe get a rental at employee cost, which is $30 per day.Alex Thompson told me that I would never be satisfied, no matter what the dealership did for me. I am going to contact the Ohio Attorney General R. Yost to file a formal complaint, as the more I have talked about the issues I am having, others have added their own horror stories of vehicle mishaps requiring major repairs following routine work. The warranty for life is a giant scheme. I have had the most ridiculous repair recomendations when I have had oil changes completed. Beware. I will have my oil changes and tire rotations completed with the dealership per Warranty requirements. All other work and requirements I will have completed at an ASE certified shop. I only need to call the Warranty company and get a number for the work I am having done. My shop will add that number to my receipt and I will add those documents to my work and warranty paperwork which I maintain. Losing another good customer.

Took forever to diagnose problem. Then had to wait on ordered parts. Was never told they came in. Had to call myself. Made an appointment to get the issue fixed and after taking a 2nd day off work to get fixed was told the problem was too extensive for the time they jad left in the day. No rental cars available so had to deive back home mind you I leave probably an hour and 10 minutes away. Asked if I could just get fixed closer to home and so I called the closest dealership to home and was told they wouldn't touch it since VanDevere had. Ended up having to go to yet another city to find someone to look at the car.

I arrived on time for my appointment and was told they may have a diagnosis in 2 hours. Then they wanted to keep my car as they could not get the check engine light to come back on, but they did see the code in the history. When the light first came on, I took it to an auto parts store to get the code. The guy read it and told me what the fix would be. The dealership did exactly what the auto parts guy said. Why did it take the dealership 2 days to figure it out? Was it because I had the warranty and wasn't a paying customer? Did they not have enough mechanics to do all the work? Why wasn't the work completed the next morning? I didn't receive a notice that my car was done until mid-afternoon. Also they didn't have any loaner cars so I had to go to Enterprise. Logan Tolson at VanDevere was very helpful and did a great job dealing with a difficult vehicle that has had a lot of issues. Thankyou to Logan Tolson at VanDevere. My issues are that I bought a new 2023 Colorado, and it has been back in to the service department a total of 20 times between December 2023 and Dec 2025, and I am still waiting to take it back for number 21 due to an issue with the check engine light-related to battery voltage and ABS brakes. I do have all of my receipts/records, and copies as well. Maybe GM/Chevrolet could release the names of their engineers and manufacturers so we can so who is responsible for such poor quality and workmanship. Does GM/Chevrolet management actually own and drive these vehicles? If they did-they would encounter the same issues. Even the local dealer service department has claimed that the build/fit and finish of the vehicle is what has caused many of the issues. So many of these issues require a call from the dealer to GM-to get directions on how to proceed, and this is more time that a vehicle sits waiting to be repaired. The issue is GM/Chevrolet, and not the dealer. I am hard pressed to believe that I will ever buy another GM product, as I feel I have. $45,000.00 piece of junk that I don’t have enough confidence in-to allow my wife or family drive it. If this is the type of quality product that Chevrolet expects people purchase, Chevrolet will go the way that Pontiac and Oldsmobile went. Maybe this letter, and a copy of all of the service records reflecting all issues should go public?
